Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how JHenMedia uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on jhenmedia.com and our client portal.
Effective June 17, 2026 · Last updated June 17, 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy.
2. How we use cookies
Strictly necessary (essential)
These are required for the site to function. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Session & authentication — signed-in member portal sessions (e.g.
jhm_session). - Cart & checkout — shopping cart identifiers synced with FluentCart (e.g.
jhm_fc_cart_hash,fct_cart_hash). - Security — CSRF protection, rate limiting context, and fraud prevention signals.
- Preferences — theme choice and portal UI preferences stored locally where applicable.
Functional
Enable enhanced features such as remembering form progress or demo-mode state in development environments.
Analytics (optional)
If enabled and you accept non-essential cookies, we may use analytics to understand traffic and improve our services. We configure analytics to minimize personal data where possible.
Security & anti-abuse (optional)
When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on forms, Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies to distinguish humans from bots. See Cloudflare’s privacy documentation for details.
3. Cookie consent
Where required by law (including the EU/UK ePrivacy rules and similar U.S. state requirements), we show a cookie banner allowing you to accept all cookies or limit use to essential cookies only. Your choice is stored in local storage under jhm_cookie_consent_v1. You can change your mind by clearing site data or contacting us.
4. Third-party cookies
Third parties may set cookies when you use their features, including:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) during checkout;
- Cloudflare for CDN, security, and Turnstile;
- Embedded content if we link to external media or social platforms.
Those parties process data under their own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through:
- Our cookie banner (“Essential only” vs “Accept all”);
- Your browser settings to block or delete cookies;
- Industry opt-out tools for certain advertising cookies where applicable.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, checkout, or portal access. For more about how we use personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no uniform industry standard; we currently respond to cookie consent choices and applicable legal requirements rather than DNT headers alone.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change technologies or legal requirements. Check the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
